Having used Twitters current RSS feeds for a lil bit now, it seems like they update over a certain period of time, as opposed to when theres something new. I use Feedbro on Google Chrome since its layout is ideal for me. Same here on Ubuntu! From time to time I get those SSL errors and have to add them as an exception in order to allow QuiteRSS to update my feeds. For me at least, its as simple as copying and pasting a Twitter profile URL into my RSS reader.
